WEST SIDE WOLFPACK

Our boys teams play in the Boys Suburban Amateur Basketball League and our girls teams play in the Pioneer Valley Girls Suburban Basketball league. Players for West Side must reside in West Side and/or go to school in West Side. These leagues are for 5th - 8th graders. We plan to enter teams in the following divisions, with our teams made up of the following players:

Boys

7th/8th Red (the "A" division) - Predominantly 8th grade boys

7th/8th White  (the "B" division) - Predominantly 7th grade boys

5th/6th Red (the "A" division) - Predominantly 6th grade boys

5th/6th White  (the "B" division) - Predominantly 5th grade boys

Girls

7th/8th Division I - Predominantly 8th grade girls

7th/8th Division II - Predominantly 7th grade girls

5th/6th Division I - Predominantly 6th grade girls

5th/6th Division II - Predominantly 5th grade girls

League games will start the first week of December and playoffs will wrap up the second week of March. Schedules for the teams usually come out around Thanksgiving. Each of our teams has their own page which you can find in the App or at the top menu bar by selecting Wolfpack Teams. Once schedules come out, we will load them to the team pages. Standings will be found on the league website. Links to the boys and the girls league websites are below.

Welcome to the West Springfield Wolfpack 2023-2024 season! Three important things to do as our season gets started:

1. Please register your player by clicking the link below. You must register again even if you already registered for tryouts. The fee for participating in the program is $175 per child. In addition, if you are purchasing a uniform, the cost is $50 ($25 for each shirt and shorts), for a total cost of $225. At the end of the registration, you have the option of paying online with a card or paying offline with cash or a check payable to WSYBA. If you need extended time to pay or have a hardship, please contact Nick at 413-297-1117 to discuss. Two common FAQs - (i) make sure you are logged in to your account when registering, and (ii) at the end, be sure to click "continue to checkout" even if you are paying offline. You must register and pay by November 19th.
2. Uniform try-on will be from 6:30pm - 7:30pm on October 24, 25, & 26 at the Middle School.  At this time, players can try on uniforms if they need to. You can also make the payment if you are not paying online. The uniform order has already been placed.
3. Utilize SportsEnginge to get the most out of the West Springfield Wolfpack experience during the season. Select More+ at the top menu bar, then select Connect, then Parent Portal for more information. All practices and games will be posted to SportsEngine. We highly suggest downloading the App for best use.

Lastly, the fee only covers a portion of what it costs to run the program. These costs include items such as the team’s entry fee into their respective leagues, cost of referees for the games, rent of the basketball courts for games and practices and other expenses. The difference is made up through fundraising efforts and sponsors. Our largest fundraiser is the West Side Tip-Off Tournament scheduled for November 30th - December 3rd.  We will need your help with concessions and door. There will be more information on this as it gets closer.
